Moosetache is correct. AFROTC only increased enrollment size by 100 cadets over last yr., however this yr the pool was much smaller.
They are also correct regarding FT. Busting it usually is rare, I can't recall the amount of days, but typically turnbacks have to do with medical issues. You are only allowed to miss X days, anything above it becomes an issue. This is a big reason they make sure you have both the H1N1 and menoccocal (sp?) shot. Both of those conditions can spread like wildfire at Maxwell.
When DS went in 10, they had about 8 people turnback, but they were all medical. It may sound like a lot, but realistically it is a very, very, very tiny %.
One thing to remember is that sealed envelope must remain sealed, you cannot open it. I think that was the hardest part for our DS, just sitting there looking at it for @6 weeks until he went. Inside it is your official rec.
One other thing to stop the question if the Max you are in has anything to do with how you rack and stack, i.e. 1 -6 . It doesn't! It just has everything to do with getting one in. For example, Max 6 ends the latest, thus, many of the cadets that have school start up dates of 9/1 are able to go, just like Max 1 is early and if your school doesn't end early enough than you would not be an ideal candidate. From there they disperse everyone to have a diversified mix.
