AFROTC February/March Board 2024

Wow. Really pushing it back, most decisions will be due very shortly after this comes out. Not sure how common it is to be so late, but I'm pretty disappointed.

Are you freaking kidding me with this?!? Never thought I would see the day that the Army was more squared away than the Air Force!

Still sounds like they are ahead of FAFSA.😵‍💫 Got a letter yesterday from a school saying they hope to have packages out by mid to late April!! This application year has just been awful!!
this aged well 😭

Has anyone else noticed that the portal says 4/20 now instead of 4/22? Someone on the USAFA message board posted that?

With Commitment Day on May 1 at most universities, they are not giving us much time to work with Financial Aid offices to put packages together. It's unlikely we get a full picture of the financial commitment, especially impactful for out-of-state prospective students. Add the FAFSA Fiasco to it and we have a perfect storm.

I was prepared for bureaucracy and hoop-jumping. I was unprepared for absolute chaos.

This decision is literally the tipping point between 2 schools...and I agree about the financial aid packages. I know what the offers will likely be, but how do you make a firm commitment without an offer in black and white?!?

Many schools have pushed commitment dates to 5/15 and 6/1 because of all of the snafus with FASFA.

Looks like decisions are out. I said the date on the portal didn't matter 😍

was denied though...

Same...Not Selected.
Not surprising...spoke to a few recruitment officers from detachment and a couple years ago they cut 75% of HS scholarship funding in favor of giving 2 year in school scholarships when established cadets pass summer training...
Disappointing, but not overly shocked...
