AFROTC to Navy

The thing that beats me is the fact that I did not even apply for a Navy ROTC scholarship. Hence why I am confused as to why I took it when called back. I didnt need a waiver either. I got qualified for both Air Force and Army ROTC no waivers necessary.

Time out. AF would not have sent you for the FALANT because they DO NOT ACCEPT IT. Who PAID for that test? You or DoDMERB? You were not NROTC, but A/AFROTC scholarship.

AFROTC does not accept FALANT. Does AROTC accept? Could it be you failed the PIP for AFROTC, but ARITC requested it and you passed the FALANT?

If so, what about AROTC? Do you not want to serve in the Army?

Finally, I still go back to "I am pretty sure I failed". Failed would equate waiver or some formal notification by them in writing. You are stating you had a remedial, but no waiver was requested, what did the DoDMERB letter state about the results from the remedial for AFROTC?

Have you sat down with any AD officer in your det and said "I am now interested in a rated slot, assuming I go to SFT, have a strong OML, with my color vision issue is it over?"

You don't need to say squat about any other branch.

I was never sent a letter from DoDMERB requesting a remedial which was quite weird. Immediately after i got home from the optometrist that day, THE OPTOMETRIST office called me an told me I would need to come back for further testing. I went back within a week, took the falant, and within a few weeks got the DoDMERB packet qualifying me for Air Force and Army ROTC. I did not pay a single dime to go back. No waivers, no extra money, no problems getting qualified minus the extra trip back that wasn't even called for by DoDMERB
