What exactly is your point in this? The issue of IC versus non-IC has been beaten to death and neither side is conceding anything.
Personally I think that people need to be aware that rumors are often not true, thus they should be wary of spreading rumors about a person whose life might be altered in a very profound way. No matter what the situation was that led to this action, the cadet is being held to account, he is no longer on the team, he may also be facing further punishment. No one here was part of this action, no one here really knows what the infraction was. We hear/read things, but how do we know it is correct? What if what we heard was materially wrong? How do we undo the rumor? Once I save this comment, you can search for it on any search engine within 24 hours.
The academy has released a statement, it does not include some of the items that have been disclosed on this thread. I have heard things said by others as well, but I do not repeat any of it here, because if any of it is inaccurate or misstated by others, I do not want to be part of the rumor that will follow this young man and his family after this situation is finally resolved. That is not "sticking one's head in the sand", it is a humane and decent thing to do.
Roger - out!
