Well, it's Dec! Good luck to all who wait. I've gotta say, my DS is handling the wait MUCH better than I am!
and wondering when the "thanks, but no thanks" letters go out. Our daughter applied for Early Action, and the wait is killing us. When someone does not get in, do they get a letter right away, or could it come at any time? Hate to get my hopes up because we haven't received anything yet. Thank you.
Hang in there. All EA applications should be notified by 12/24. EA applications are still being reviewed.
After all Early Action reviews are completed, students will know if (1) they received an appointment, (2) if they were not selected for this year's class or (3) if they are being offered a space on the wait list.
Best of luck to those of you still waiting to hear.
On her Bear's Den page, the box was checked for the Board Review was complete and a decision was available which then took her to the actual letter which had a link to the CGAS site with all of the paperwork to download and info on the prep schools. I would assume that something is coming in the mail as well.
I have an update. My D was actually offered a CG Scholar spot and not a direct appointment. Saw congratulations and went from there, lol! Then we actually sat down and read the entire letter. She's still excited that she's getting this opportunity and believes that she will be even more successful when she gets to the Academy a year later but will still have all the benefits starting next summer. Waiting on her dodmerb results, but don't think she'll have any problems with that. Gang of paperwork to fill out and will still report to the Academy next summer for orientation and be sworn in. Very excited. Good luck to everyone

EA rejection letters have already been going out, for a while already, according to the AO we spoke to at a recent fair.
