Any rumors on Cadet BRANCHING timeframe?

Anyone from 5th BDE here? As usual my little satellite school I go to hears nothing from BN or BDE. I hope we hear everything tomorrow! Lets just hope and pray the Gen. sign off on the results!

I am in 5th brigade. Everything still tracking as normal so far

Good to hear something is still on track - so far. Thinking DS's BN will find out tomorrow(11/19) at afternoon LAB...

just saw Wildcatmom's post -- would 24 hrs indicate 11/19?

So tomorrow still in the possibility. Thought it would be odd for the brief to be this morning and be able to get all information through to the schools/cadets today too, so I was tracking 11/19-11/20 for cadets. Hope they don't have to postpone the brief or need further adjustments.

As a parent I am so glad CC has changed the notification process so these MSII and MSIII will know their branch and AD/RES/NG earlier rather than later. It will be helpful in planning for these kids.

Yes. I knew as soon as I replied that it would changed, so I almost didn't reply. Yea, we're now tracking tomorrow morning sometime. If the brief goes as planned this afternoon, they could be sitting in the PMS's inbox at PT time or normal work call, we'll just have to wait and see.

I am glad it has changed as well. You've got december grads that will be commissioning in 2-5 weeks with no clue what they will be doing.

Good luck to all in this year's branching. Just remember the hard part will start after graduation. Keep working at it.

Best Wishes

A friend told me an LDAC buddy of his from BYU just posted his branch on Facebook... if this is true, then looks like tomorrow's the day and someone just got a little lucky with early info.

Could be since the briefing with the COS was at 3:30 eastern time. Could be a good sign that everything was signed off with no requested changes.

Good luck everyone.

I don't know if it's relevant to ROTC branching, but my plebe at USMA says 266 infantry slots at USMA (out of 1060 or so = 25%). They're joking that 2015 is the class that the crossed rifles fell on. Know for sure on Thursday. He's just a plebe so maybe he doesn't know for sure, but I've see that number a couple of times in the last week.

This sort of goes along with the info Bull posted saying that there is a higher percentage of Combat Arms for ROTC Branching.

This made me look up 2013 USMA branching statistics..... looks like a 5% increase for Infantry slots. But you guys already knew that but for us rookies...

Home from work, 10:30pm Ft Knox time..., hopeful that the briefing went as planned and cadets will have reasons to celebrate tomorrow'ish...

Back into work in the morning, so won't be around much here - thinking of all our kiddos and fingers crossed!!

So, I would imagine if today was to be the day we would have heard by now?

Many PMSs released the results yesterday afternoon/evening. DSs meeting is at 11:30 this morning. Fingers crossed!

Not til Thursday late afternoon for my DS; leadership wants to wait until the next class meeting when all are gathered together. I'm hoping it's worth the wait and that the band is playing, :band: Happy Days are Here Again.
