Anyone heard from NROTC Scholarship Selection Board since 11-18?

From NavyNOLA on another thread...

"The third board met 15-18 NOV. Results are typically out within two weeks of the end of the board. The next board is 29 NOV-2 DEC."

So we really should be hearing results of the 3rd board this week, I hope... and the 4th board is meeting this week. Good luck! Fingers crossed!

@Noomie

Yes. And I know a board is meeting this week as well. My question is, after the board meeting this week - when will the next one meet? Is there another one in December, or is it in January?

nrotc dates last year.jpg
@Noomie This is a photo I found on another thread in the forums about last year's dates so I'm assuming this year's dates are probably close to these dates timeline wise, but NavyNOLA tends to have the most information on NROTC board dates.

Ok, thank you so much. My daughter was an ISR, back in October, and the staff here told her she should hear right after Thanksgiving, since it just needed to get checked over. We checked the portal today, and it says it's still in processing for teacher evals and a few other things. She was hoping to surprise her dad for Christmas, so she's really disheartened.

Well, since no one has posted to this thread lately, I assume no one has heard anything. Just curious if all the selects from a board are released to the portal at the same time or if they are posted one by one.

Do the candidates receive an email notification or do they just have to keep checking netfocus?

Congrats to all! No notification this round. We will (impatiently!) wait for the next one!

Check your portals! DS did not get an email. Now we wait on healing and DoDMERB. Ugh! DS had shoulder surgery, torn labrum this football season, had his "Qualified" revoked.

Good luck everyone!

DS received his notification via email yesterday. He had been awarded an ISR and has been waiting for the official confirmation. He was placed at his #1 school, University of Michigan. He also received a very nice email this morning from one of the Lieutenants at the university congratulating and welcoming him. Such an exciting time for him and awesome to see his hard work pay off. Now we just wait for the Admissions decision to the university.

Congratulations to all who received good news yesterday. For those who are still waiting, maybe this snippet from the email from NSTC will give you some peace of mind, "a majority of available offers are sent out via email during the months of March and April."

Go Blue and Go Navy!

Congrats to those who have received notification.

For other posters, lurkers, casual observers... Hang in there. There is a long ways to go in the selection season.

Also, it is important to note that this website, while very popular, is only a subset of the entire population applying. Many don't know of its existence. So silence doesn't equate to no activity.

ProudDad, congrats to your son! DS1 is a 2/c at Michigan. Such a great school and NROTC unit. Let me know if you have any questions, I'd be happy to help!

My daughter received an ISR the first week of Sept but just got the official notice. It coincided with a call to the NROTC office asking about the status. :)
