Anyone heard from the wait list?

Wishing all of those on the list the best!! I don't envy you the extra months of waiting that you've had to endure.
 
Can anyone confirm if we will be notified sometime this week? Has anyone on the wait list received any word if they are still on the list or if they have been taken off the wait list?

I believe someone above posted that CGO has indicated folks may hear starting tomorrow. Painful, I know.:rolleyes:
 
My hopes and prayers are with you. It is awful to wait. Let's hope that you get good news soon. Please let us know when you hear.!!!!!

No news yet. DS called admissions and left message for regional, but haven't heard anything back yet.

Thanks for sharing! I guess no news is good news - so far. I know that admissions can't tell us...but we just want to know if there really is still a possibility of an appointment. I would think that if they have met their 1200 or so appointments then they would have told us that the class of 2014 is already full. But the fact that they are still having us wait must mean there is still a possibility of appointments yet to be given. Just trying to find the positive on the waiting process :rolleyes:
 
A "watched forum" does not get one off the wait list ...

As a BGO, I share your frustration. I have ZERO idea what is taking so long and have never seen the process drag out so long for so many. Usually, they notify most people in May and there are only a few "stragglers" still wondering in June.

I must say that I don't envy you. I will say this . . . get your heart set on Plan B. I find it very hard to believe that, at this stage of the process, there are many unfilled spots. My gut feel (and it is ONLY that -- I have no inside knowledge on this), is that there are only a few open spots but, for some unknown reason, USNA is having trouble deciding whom to select. I hope for your sakes that I'm wrong but, if not, many of you will be headed to Plan B. The good news is that, for almost all of you out there, that's a great option.

I think this is the week we'll find out - I believe they will let us know by June 20th; however, that's Sunday - so .... maybe they really meant by June 21st?

Hang in there Murph. Its torture, but only for a short bit longer. My son graduated this weekend, and its crazy that I dont know where he will be going yet. Take a deep breath. You're not alone. The waiting will be over soon.
 
Still waiting too....

If an appointment should come our way...how will we get all the pre-requisites done before I-day? I have read other posts where so much is needed before I-day such as a background check, etc...Obviously all items will need to be completed before being inducted.

As soon as anyone hears any news (hopefully good!)...please let us know.
