Are you planning to go to the Navy-Notre Dame in Dublin Ireland? Or have you ever gone to Navy game in Dublin?

Slightly unrelated but as a native Irishman, US Citizen and Police Officer, The Galway Bay Inn in Annapolis has some of the best Guinness Pints and grub I have tasted in the US so far. Highly recommended.
quite the Wiskey selection as well. It was a reqular stop for my Mid and his crew last winter on Saturday night liberty for hearty pot pie and stew.

Question for those who’ve gone previously - how easy (or difficult) is it to get around Dublin? Do they have Uber, or do the Mids use taxis to get to the game?

Dublin is easy with their trains. There is a station right across from the Stadium, Landsdowne Station. But there are taxis and Ubers as well.

It's pretty easy to get around Dublin. Buses are frequent although the weekend schedule might have less buses running. Taxis are plentiful and there is also the Dart service. Aviva stadium is on the southside and it is pretty well serviced transportation wise. Don't know Mids arrangement on getting to the game.

It was easy. We figured out bus service from the airport to hotel. We walked a lot. Buses for tours. The train for the game and other places.

The city itself is very walkable. A lot of places to stop (say, for a drink) or gaze or relax. Lively and safe. But also patches of quiet and green. Plus water.

I highly recommend GreenSpot Irish whiskey. Silly name but very very smooth, I was surprised to see they have it there as well.

Excited to find out that Navy vs Notre Dame Rugby will be in Dublin as well (Friday evening). Started scouting out more restaurants - can’t wait!

Haven’t been to a Rugby match before - wondering if we need to buy tickets?

Dublin, Ireland (Trinity College)11:00 AM (ET); 4:00 PM (Dublin)

OK Sports Report: Notre Dame has a great SIXTH YEAR o_O twenty three year old TRANSFER Quarterback from Wake Forest with some prior conference passing records (OK you used to be allowed four years in six, but I don't know this one). ND defensive line has lost a lot of veterans and they are untested. Triple Option with a few wrinkles might make for a very exciting game. Praying for great weather and a great time had by all on both sides. Go Navy.

Trinity College is a great place to visit and take pictures. Have some good ones there with my Mid. Library and Book of Kells is worth the tour. 800 AD and you can try out your Latin on the pages displayed that day. Dead language Latin but it used to help on the SAT.

My countdown started last week. :D Heading over Monday with DW to catch up with DS for combined 25th aniv trip. DS has briefing today for trip info. Hoping to catch up with him and his crew for dinner. Long range forcast looking like cool temps in 50's game time

Nothing better than a countdown to a great kickoff. Will there be a Flyover?

The Blues won't be there, but I would wager there will be a flyover of some kind.
