I should be a couple weeks behind you! My Dodmets exams were last week.

@gooseblitz's DS seemed to get through DoDMERB extremely quickly. Is this because he was awarded an ROTC scholarship? Do candidates who are awarded scholarships get priority in the reviewing of their DoDMERB exams?

I'm sure there are a lot that get through quickly. The ones you hear about on here are the ones that don't get through quickly. Who are they reviewing other than Scholarships and SA appointments?

I thought that DoDMERB would just move through exams as they receive them regardless of candidate application status. I am worried that, if I do not get a scholarship, I will not be medically cleared. Would that keep me from participating in ROTC as a non-scholarship cadet?

no. you provide a sports physical before starting. once participating as a college programmer, the school should then start sending cadets for the physicals in preparation of side load scholarships

My DoDMERB exams are tomorrow! Wearing no contacts for the last three days has been awful- I hate glasses! Here’s to hoping my eyes pass! Congrats again, everyone!

Ok now I'm feeling a little freaked out. My DS got a 4 year offer from 2nd board and he accepted it pretty quickly but we have had no word on next steps. How are you moving forward? We have to be missing something.

He should have gotten an email from either DODMETS or CIV team. It will have a link to follow to make an account and schedule appointments. I would tell him to check his spam folder and search through his email to see if he has gotten anything.
