Army ROTC 2nd Board Results

There is an attachment category for college acceptance letter for a reason. My DS uploaded all of his acceptances and listed in that order of preference as well.

So once you submit the acceptance, the selection tab changes to only one school with the P ( pending) changing to A ( accepted). Does the school get notified of the change? Since many schools haven’t yet released their decisions, I was just curious .

That was not the case for us. DS uploaded before he submitted for board review and before he had PMS interviews.

My son just received an offer for the Early Commissioning Program to attend one of the four Military Junior Colleges full tuition for 2 years. After that he could attend any 4 year college with AROTC and have his tuition paid for an additional 2 years. This leads to an 8 year National Guard or Reserve commitment after graduation. At this point he's considering this, but isn't sure this is the route he wants to go. He'll have to decide to accept or decline before the March Board. If he declines, is it pretty much decided he won't get anything after the March Board? Thanks!
I don't believe if he declines that has any impact on the March Board. There have been many discussions on the Board about the ECP. Please look for some discussion on the topic by @Montana State Army ROTC. If I recall correctly, he offered some great insight. Best of luck to your son.

Late to reply, but was very happy our child got notice Feb 9 re four year scholarship to top (and only) 1,2,3 schools. Already had early decision acceptance to first, so school decision easy.
SO AWESOME! Congrats.

Hi, DS received a 4 yr to his top 2 schools. Couple of questions, will he receive anything in the mail or is it just the winner letter in the portal. Also, we noticed that it said an ROTC cadre member can be at his school to present the scholarship at an event such as senior award night, do people typically do this? Thanks and congrats to all who won and for those who did not hang in there. My older DS decided to join AROTC his sophomore year of college without a scholarship. He will be commissioning this spring and going active duty. If you want to serve your country as an officer the scholarship is a nice bonus but not necessary to reach your ultimate goal.

Congratulations to your DS! He should receive a nice certificate in the mail in the coming weeks. My guess is that they process may be delayed with everything going on. I think it is fine to ask a cadre member to present the scholarship. I have seen that done on many occasions. Congratulations to your other son on his upcoming commissioning - exciting times ahead.

My son was awarded on the second board last year and received his in the mail on February 25. I know this from the photo memory that popped up this morning!

Check with the school on presenting an award for the scholarship. Some schools don't allow it. Many do and many families take advantage of it.

Did anyone change from boarded/UC (still eligible for March board) back to boarded (results have not been released)? Hadn't logged in since Jan board results and saw this change today.

Oh my! I just want to wish all of you good luck! I vividly remember a year ago at this time…spending WAY to much time on this board, anxiously awaiting what people were hearing.
Last year my son did not submit for the first board but waited until second. He DID take the ACT so I think that helped him. He received a 3 year. Then once the third boards were completed he was notified he was upgraded to a 4 year. I almost had a heart attack - God Is Great!
So do not lose faith or hope. AND during the summer my son was contacted by on-campus ROTC asking if he knew of anyone else because they had some additional scholarships available.
Hang in there! You’ve all worked very hard and should be proud of your efforts!
God is great! My DS is in a similar situation and was awarded the 3 year scholarship this year. When did you hear news about him being bumped up to a 4 year? Wasnt sure when the last boards are usually released. Thanks

When does the application period close? We're you boarded on Board 1 or 2? If so, they will not be viewed.
I was boarded in Oct so even if I update the file upload tab they won’t review it? I got an email from an rotc dept saying you could update it with your mid year grades and other things to increase your score.

Correct. If you have been boarded, no one will look at your file again to read letters. A change in SAT/ACT or PFT would impact your score and could be submitted.
