AROTC 3rd Board...Place to Wait

I love how we all have just collectively decided that we want to hear a "yes" or a "no"... it's true, I don't think anyone here wants the wait to last any longer, but a couple months ago I would rather have gotten no news than bad news.

Info that we received today regarding AROTC, FYI:
There was a delay at cadet Command in posting the scholarship board results. We are waiting for the Commanding General to approve the offers. Once that happens, I will likely be released to discuss specifics. I am hoping this will happen today, but I’m not holding my breath at this point.

Sounds like a repeat of what happened during Branching this year, it took forever to get things signed off. Someone find that General a pen.
 
This waiting is terrible. Does anyone know how long it takes for a transfer request to be approved? Do you think it will come back by May 1 deadline if we hear who the winners are?

The timeline varies, at this point I wouldn't count on an approval by May 1st considering how long it's taking them to even post the results from the board.

If your son/daughter does receive an offer and needs a transfer, just make sure you get everything in as soon as possible, you will need the letter of acceptance from the school he wishes to attend and get in contact with both battalions right away to get things moving. Would the transfer be to a school in the same Brigade, probably hard to know until you find out which school the scholarship is awarded.

Best of luck, hope they are not waiting until Friday again.

Did your DS/DD get an offer from an earlier board?
