She will have 30 days to make a choice. Each cadet ( I will now call her cadet) is usually offered 3 choices. The offers are based on portal choices and availability of ROTC scholarship slots at the school. There is a way to transfer the scholarship. Transferring to a school in the same Brigade is much easier than switching brigades due to the money. She can contact anyone she wants to talk about the school and the ROTC program. Do some research as some schools offer incentives to ROTC scholarship winners like free room and board or maybe even giving them a scholarship for the 4th year if they are a 3 yr AD.Winner, winner, chicken dinner! My DD got a 4-yr at USC and Wake Forest but only a 3 yr at Washington & Lee. Frankly, I am confused about what to do next and why just 3 of the 7 schools she had on her list were mentioned. I do know that now she has to get acceptance but I thought that the way it worked was that she received the scholarship then went down the list of her choices to find a college that would accept her. With the two schools with 4yr scholarships, should she contact both at the same time about the scholarship or one at a time? She has been accepted at her 7th choice college, but that wasn't listed in the award list. Can she transfer the scholarship their if the others don't work out? To quote Vinny Barbarino, "I am so confused."
