Best Military Movies?

Tora, Tora, Tora - I watch it everytime I stumble on it.
The DI - Great watch for those going to USMC Bootcamp.
Sands of Iwo Jima - Saw for the first time when our SDI treated us to a double feature one Sunday during Basic at PI,
Battle Cry, the 2nd part of the double header. Kept us all gungy.
Battle of the Bulge - Great movie, can never turn this one off either.
The Patriot - Makes me proud of what we went thru to become this great country. I know it is fiction, but it still inspires me.
Deer Hunter - Mao Mao

Good list. Two more worth including are:

Zulu
Stalag 17

since this is an eclectic list, I have to add the Marx Brothers "Duck Soup".

Rufus T. Firefly: Awfully decent of you to drop in today. Do you realize our army is facing disastrous defeat? What do you intend to do about it?
Chicolini: I've done it already.
Rufus T. Firefly: You've done what?
Chicolini: I've changed to the other side.
Rufus T. Firefly: So you're on the other side, eh? Well, what are you doing over here?
Chicolini: Well, the food is better over here.

One more

30 Seconds over Tokyo. Great movie that was well done considering it was 1943. USS Hornet CV-8.

raimius, yes indeed, I clashed my sub movies, I like both U-517 and K19: The Widowmaker, the one with Harrison Ford and Liam Neeson, thanks! Serves me right for posting from smartphone...

If we're going Subs.... it's hard to beat Das Boot.... with just subtitles... can't do it without the German!

I didn't see this listed, but Men Of Honor was a great movie. Based on a true story, too.

I also thought The General's Daughter was a good one.
