See, I'm always a bit skeptical when telling everyone I'm going to USNA. I know it's a great deal, and I love every part of it, and I have told my valued teachers, etc.
But there are kids like my friend from wrestling, who enlisted in the Army, got a 4 year contract to go Airborne Ranger. He didn't get his name in the paper, nothing but a "hope you do well."
I shouldn't be getting much accolades until I graduate and commissioned. Then only I'd feel like I deserve it. Right now, I feel as if I did good on a couple of tests, both mental and physical. Nothing close to graduation from USNA.
Just my two cents.
EDIT: Sorry, was responding to Memphis. But to the OP, CONGRATULATIONS!!
