I posted in a previous thread about issues my DD has been having with her BGO interview. Could one of the seasoned BGO's on here possibly PM me? I have no idea if what is going on is normal or not, but I no longer know how to advise my DD how to proceed and cannot find one other post that makes me believe there is any good reason for what is happening. Thank you, I appreciate anyone willing to help either ease our minds or suggest where we go from here.

Not a Blue & Gold officer, but I do remember your original post. The B&G seemed to be going rogue and launching a time consuming and questionable investigation
of your daughter? Hope you get it sorted out and one of the many informative and helpful B&G's on here can help you asap.

I don't know the story; however, have you reached out to the area coordinator or USNA Admissions for more guidance? Just a thought.

Why are you worried? Because you don't see the report has been filed? BGOS have deadlines. If they failed to submit hers, the academy would remind them. If you're worried about this hurting her chances, I would'nt.

There is a lot of time left. No need to hover.

If the interview was in August, as I think your earlier post suggested, and interview still not uploaded, your DD might want to contact the AC. BGOs are not the FBI. We meet with candidates and submit interview forms. That process should not take 3 months under any circumstances.

USNA will f/u if all else is complete and interview is still outstanding, but they contact the AC, not the BGO directly.

USNA will F/U ? :)

If a candidate's package is 100% complete other than the BGO interview, and it's been a couple of weeks, they follow up with the Area Coordinator who is supposed to "nag" the BGO either to get the interview done or to submit it.

Candidate Guidance Office sends a delinquent list to Area Coordinators every couple of weeks now. The AC should be following up with the BGO, but it can't hurt for your DD to reach out to the BGO and inquire, and if the BGO doesn't respond after a reasonable time, reach out to CGO or ACC and inform them of the situation. She has waited long enough.

BTW -- I don't remember any mention of discussion of a BGO "going rogue" and conducting his/her own investigation. Did I miss something ?

I think the OP was referring to this thread where the BGO was interviewing the candidate's teachers to "corroborate" the BGO interview (see the third post on the thread by the OP).

Thank you all for the advice. I will suggest to my DD she contact the ACC.
