DS goes on the 12th June, FA Fort Sill.
He is from a 4th Bdge school.
I haven't heard anything from 8th BDE. I'm still unsure if its by BDE or branch. Two people branched FA in my class and they haven't received anything on enterprise.
At least he'll have a couple weeks to unwind before he heads out again. Is June 12th his report date or activation date?
Thanks very much for your offer, you may regret it later on. DS is looking forward to Fort Sill and all it entails. If you or he has any questions, I'm FA and currently at Sill.

I'm sorry to hear that. It's such a shame waiting all that time, hopefully the class of 2015 will be swift and sweet.Hasn't been much info on the Aviation side of things. Have heard some horror stories of cadets branched Aviation last year that are still waiting to start BOLC and Flight School.

Jcleppe makes a good point. For IBOLC at Ft. Benning, the reporting date last year was about ten days earlier than the published class starting date.
Cool! Exciting times.DS got his dates for IBOLC - May 17th!! So basically he has 8 days from graduation. Going to be a short summer!
Personally, I would see such a gap as having an advantage: getting a part time (or even a full time) job, getting your finances (student loans, buying a car) in order, making sure you have everything you need to be prepared for 2LT life (securing a lease, etc) possibly very far away from home, etc; essentially "getting your life straightened out" so that BOLC and real Lieutenant life is a little easier and more managed since you're not juggling all elements of adulthood at once. Not to mention enjoying your last summer vacation ever.
