Its a bit off topic from normal questions, but does anyone have any good recommendations on books about the academy? I'm currently reading "Absolutely American Four Years at West Point" by David Lipsky and I am loving it.

A Civil War by John Feinstein is about Army-Navy football, amazing read.
The Long Gray Line follows the class of 1966, also very good.
West Point the First 200 Years was the book companion to the PBS television special and it does a great job illustrating the formation of the Academy.
Diary of a West Point Cadet was fantastic I finished it in a couple days, and the one you currently are reading, Absolutely American, is also an amazing book!

There was another thread on this same topic a few months ago. Might be worth a search.

Duty First, author Ed Ruggero is a good, fairly recent book written by a grad about his experiences at USMA.
If you're interested in reading more about life after West Point try - In a Time of War: The Proud and Perilous Journey of West Point's Class of 2002: author Bill Murphy

The Unforgiving Minute by Craig Mullaney is another good book about Mullaney's life experiences as a cadet, Rhodes Scholar, and Army officer. I loved it just as much as Absolutely American !

+1 for "Unforgiving Minute." Great book.

Though I haven't read it (yet), I'll also give a rec for "In A Time of War" by Bill Murphy. He came and talked to one of my classes (prof is a USMA grad) about it and it sounds like a good read.

    On WP or ever...? :confused1:

It's not about west point directly, but if you've got a good amount of spare time, Once an Eagle is probably the best book I've ever read.
