Bucket list before plebe summer

As a current plebe, I have one word for you: friends. If I have one regret from my senior year or from high school in general it is that I didn't spend enough time with friends. I was always so locked on to getting into the Academy that it wasn't until after I accepted my appointment that I realized how much I was going to miss my friends. I recently saw some of my high school buddies for the first time since I-day during the Notre Dame game and let me say, there's nothing sweeter than being with your friends. So, my advice as I ramble and put off studying for Calc II and writing a paper, take whatever opportunities you can with your friends before I-day. If you're ever iffy and like well maybe I'm just not feeling like doing something tonight, say yes anyway (barring anything stupid or that could jeopardize your chances of getting in here) because in a few short months I guarantee you you'll wish you had.

Mostly echoing other posts:
1. Spend as much time with family and friends as you can, especially anyone with any health or medical issues. My DS was very glad he did this, as he lost a dear family member over PS. NO would've, should've, could'ves.
2. RUN! Every day. You don't have to run a ton, or do a marathon. But, if running is second nature to you, you will survive PS a whole lot easier. Dozens of kids every year end up on crutches with shin splints and pulled hamstrings. Just run.
3. Learn basic life survival skills. Know how to do laundry, iron, address an envelope, sew on a button, balance a checkbook, pay bills, etc.
4. Get an address book and write down all of your family's and friends addresses and contact information. You will be completely disconnected over PS except for three brief phone calls, but you can write all the letters you want if you can make the time for them.
5. Travel with your family. It will be insanely hard to coordinate schedules once you are at Annapolis.
