The number I heard from several sources on I-Day over on the Yard and published in the local papers was 1230, which would also include foreign midshipmen. That will drop throughout the summer.
Might also check the Naval Academy website in a few days since they have been posting the stats for the latest class on their website (2012 is shown, but assume they will update with 2013 stats in a few days).
I must have missed hearing the number in the Sup's address. Too excited I guess. Anyway it was a great day. I did shed a tear when the mids said "I do" in unison and chills when the planes flew overhead. Thanks for the links and info.
Not sure what the official expected number of quitters is over the PS period. If I remember correctly from my time at the penitentiary, most of the people who went away(voluntarily and by force) did so after Camp Tecumseh was secured.
