It was just general information. I didn't think he was eligible for the October board based on his interview date. It is perfectly fine because we are still waiting to hear from our top 2 choices for colleges. And he has his nomination interview on Saturday for USMA and USNA.

This is what DS portal looks like - the red box moves and it also says Winner in the yellow box at the top. There is general information in the "instructions" and "accepting scholarship" links - nothing specific to his status/schools.

Very respectfully, as nice and informative and good of a peoples as the SA forumites are, if there is a discrepancy on something this important to you/ your family, you should confirm the actuals with cadet command. Is it that the red box shown highlights your specific status? If so then you're not yet a winner. If so that's Board Ready. Your status shows you're ready to be reviewed in the next board. The text on Winner was updated but as you presented it, you are not showing as highlighted in that area for you, right? Does it say "winner" somewhere else or just the area not highlighted for you? In your case, what exactly does the "additional information" show? Nothing? or more details? Let us know. Can you post as much as you anonymously can from that, and maybe that will clarify. They do not review all 2000+ or so applications on the first board.

why fester in this position - totally not necessary. Recommend you go-find-out and then notify the board so it can help others in this spot moving forward. Good luck.

Sorry - our notes crossed (I didn't see this before posting) but this was the point I was trying to make - winners have that "winner" section highlighted. Others do not. Thanks for posting and good luck to all candidates.

Everyone's details updated no matter if you won or lost. I am still boarded, but winner and Boarded/under consideration is updated with details. You still need to wait until January
 
My DS was awarded the 4 year scholarship and the portal has been updated. Should he be receiving a physical letter in the mail so he can take the next step and accept the offer or is there another method to do that?

Ok, so I actually found the acceptance letter in the file upload tab. This is weird but my DS has two identical letters, one dated Nov 5 and the other Nov 10 but they are signed by different Generals. Did anyone else get two copies as well?

Yes, my DD also has two identical letters (dated 11/5 and 11/10), each of which was signed by a different general. I would assume the 11/10 letter trumps the 11/5 letter since it is more recent but I'm not sure if it really matters since the contents of the two letters appear to be identical.
 
For those who were not selected- has your status changed to boarded/under consideration? And has your school of intent locked? I didn't think the school of intent tab would lock since the next board isn't until January.🤔
 
I was not selected this board. My stats are 1330 SAT, 4.1 GPA, and captain of multiple teams, do I have a good shot at the next one? My interview also went pretty well I think.

Not sure if this was related to the 1st board AROTC server issue, but DS portal never locked "school of intent" before or after selection. TBD if will be the same going forward for the next two cycles or if it was a 1st board anomaly. Just thought I would share because school of intent locking may no longer be an indication of an upcoming change in status. Good luck!

Yes--assuming Army ROTC. DS had 1300 SAT, 4.25 GPA, team captain, 2 sport letterman, senior class president and and JROTC Battalion Commander received 3 year on 2nd board; upgraded to 4 year on 3rd board.
 
I know this thread is for 1st Board results so I apologize if I should be asking somewhere else. (Newbie trying to figure it all out.) Pretty sure I had everything submitted in plenty of time for 1st board, ROO even agreed. I even changed to Boarded but still there. Then, the kicker is that today, I got an email from the system that says Congrats, you completed your application! You will be reviewed in January and have results January 24-28.

So, I’m very confused. Does this mean I didn’t get boarded the 1st round since I just got that email? Even though my application says Boarded? I wasn’t aware I should get that email when my application was complete but it definitely was, according to the school and the fact that it said Board Ready. I plan to call the ROO tomorrow and see if they know but just thought I’d check here first for results people to see if you knew since there seems to be some ROO’s in here.

Changed to Boarded/Under Consideration today. School of Intent did not lock.
 
Has anyone seen any SAT stats for the 1st Board? Just curious to see where our DS might fall in Board 2.
 
My DD received the same email from Army ROTC and then her application changed to boarded/under consideration. Movingon to January.

My DS is a 4-yr winner from the first board and also got this email. I think it is a glitch in their system.

From the posts I’ve seen, all winners on first board were above 1450 SAT, team captains, etc. I think only about 8% of total scholarships are awarded 1st board.

I got that email as well and wondering the same thing as if my application was even considered for the 1st board!
