CONGRATS TO ALL!!!!
Yep - my DH name is "Eric" but his ssn# was issued spelled "Erik"....a never ending hassle, especially with taxes, mortgage etc.And - check birth certificate name against SSN name. Dissonance there can cause lifelong headaches.
If you do not mind. Can you give us a brief outline of his credentials ? Thanks! My understanding is that first wave is on smaller size, maybe three hundred, followed by second larger wave followed by waiting list of 400-500. So plenty of time and slots to go. Another thing- my son did not get into SLE, was extremely disappointed, did not have an LOA or recruited athlete, had no special considerations and very worried about getting in but was just given an appointment. - don't give up, there is a long way before class is filled.

A general timeline of how appointments are offered:
The Admissions committee meets every Tuesday.
They notify the MOCs of the candidates that are offered appointments. Reason being is that they want the MOC to be the first to have the opportunity to tell the candidate of their appointment. WP allows them 72 hours to do this before FFRs can share the news. If the MOC doesn't call and if you don't have a FFR, you will find out via your portal or by the arrival of the BFE.
WP will not load the appointment on the portal until after the 72 hours, nor will they have appointment arrive before the 72 hours.
Some will see it on their portal before they get the BFE and some will get the BFE before they see it on their portal.
Is that the similar timeline for the getting a 3Q letter? As in the qualification board meets on Tuesday? Sitting on a principle nomination. Application has been complete for 3 weeks. Just got a 3Q letter in my portal today. Can I hope to expect a BFE this weekend?
Not really sure what you are asking with your first question. My understanding is your RC issues the 3Q. The Admissions committee as a committee doesn't qualify files ( a member of the committee does review your file for qualification along with another RC).Is that the similar timeline for the getting a 3Q letter? I was never told I was 3Q'd but I got an appointment, so people(or at least one person, me) have gotten appointments without receiving any notification of being 3Q'd. I think it may vary by RC and some just don't give tell their candidates that they are 3Q, but I can't say that with any certainty, it may have just been a mistake that I never got one.So you will know if your are 3Q'd because it will be posted in your candidate portal? Is this correct?
What region are you in?I was never told I was 3Q'd but I got an appointment, so people(or at least one person, me) have gotten appointments without receiving any notification of being 3Q'd. The rough process is similar. Small changes in details.Does this apply to USNA as well?
