I will gladly lead the group in the happy dance!! It won't be pretty, but it will be enthusiastic. :shake: But, whoever gets the envelope first MUST assume the role of Master of the Dance. Get your dancin' shoes out folks....it's almost time. :smile:
 
Do the CGAS (prep) packages go out with the RA offers? Do they come in a regular letter or a big letter? Just curious about the time frame for the prep offers.

I think Objee said the CGAS appts are all done, and now approved but have not been mailed yet... I think he said they were mailing this week.. even though I think I asked multiple times (begged):biggrin: for them to go out last week :shake:
 
oh my, I thought they were mailed by last Friday.......I didn't read the post properly, BUT, here were are.......another grueling week at it! You are all in my thoughts and good luck!

he posted this on Thursday or friday of last week..... Its a maybe they will be sent this week... :( not a for sure yet..

CGAS appointments arrive in a larger (9x12) white envelope...the appointments are mailed after each CGAS Board meets and CAPT Bibeau approves the results, so there is no relation to when RA appointments are mailed.

That's just what I wanted to know. My son is very calm about this because he knows he has done all he can. I'm (dad) the one stalking the mailman. This forum is very helpful, thank you to those involved.

Could someone tell me more about CGAS? I understand its purpose; but have students applied for it specifically OR is it one option that an applicant might be given as opposed to getting an appmt? In other words, could an RA applicant get an envelope with the offer of CGAS?

yes anyone could get it (both EA and regular applicants)...
CGA Scholars is the CGA's prep school program.. no they do not apply for it.

I believe there is usually 45-60 kids that get it...

Update from the CGAS Coordinator:

I'm going to start working on them [CGAS appointment packages] tomorrow [Tuesday] when I get back in the office. They should all be out by the end of the week.

I am SURE good news is on the way for your daughter. The vibes are good today......

I don't know for my guy. With only 14 in the mail, maybe we will have to wait until the end of the month. :confused:

As long as it comes, we'll be stoked!

and your son was EA, so obviously they are moving those files too!?!

my daughter's second medical waiver letter was dated 3/5. We'll see!

but Maui1 your waiting days are over!!!! AWESOME news!!!!

Just as a FYI - my daughter did not have her medical waiver before she was offered CGAS last year. However, they reviewed her very soon afterwards and then the waiver came. So, if you are still waiting on a waiver, don't lose hope!
