NROTC version of "Anyone still waiting out there?"

I am ... and the wait is killing me. I already sent my deposit in to Cornell, no scholarship, but its where I want to go ... sigh !
 
@e2dd Hope a scholarship comes through for you. If not, consider NROTC as a college programmer. It's a fine NROTC unit, but then I'm biased.

Response I received

I can't discuss when specific selection boards are held, but all applicants will be notified of final selection determination by the month of May. We are still conducting selection boards (which run twice a month from September until the end of April), and will notify applicants through the NROTC website and a letter in the mail to their home of record by May. Applicants can see the status of their application by logging back into our website:

I actually received two...the other stated applicants will be notofied before May.

Yup, you read right, I submitted my full application, confirmed complete with interview et al, mid June 2011 ... right before heading into session # 3 of NASS ... and I'm STILL waiting ... and yes, its IS killing me, but what other choice do I have ? TWE at the Naval Academy, already sent in my acceptance to the college of my choice ... they either want me or they don't. College Program is always an option ... but I've heard that way you don't get to go on summer cruise :eek: AND there's no guarantee of a commission when you're done so ... lets just keep hoping !

Northerner's DS had application submitted, all paperwork FedEx'ed in, and interview completed by mid-July 2011.

3. Northerner's DS had application submitted, all paperwork FedEx'ed in, and interview completed by mid-July 2011.

4. NPGPItaly - I submitted my full application, confirmed complete with interview et al, mid June 2011

Thanx for adding me & starting the list

There's comfort in knowing I'm not alone :redface: as we get down to the deadline its getting harder and harder to believe the 'no news is good news' encouragement we keep hearing ... just feelings horribly like being the last one picked for the team ... or not ...

How are you all doing??? Hope you're still hanging in there?? Good grief...Tick tock..tick tock...a week from today is the May 1st deposit day for all those schools listed on the scholarship application...this is like being at the casino:confused: So NROTC - Navy option scholarship is now running a distant 3rd here... and after May 1, probably completely out

Still here, still waiting,nerves still being stretched...I thought they couldnt stretch any further....amazing the patience you can have when you have to. To be honest Im glad my DS is on the list and still have a chance...It may never happen but we will never regret trying and having the opportunity to do so....My DS have 5 schools on the list but two are out.No NROTC program(ARMY, AF) but his top 3 are still available. So, I will only have to pay for 3..only 3(did I say only):). Will definitely pay...no way I will let him get this Scholarship and then he can't go to the school.
 
Still waiting...nervously. I can't believe we don't have answers yet...It feels like April has just dissapeared. But I'm still as anxious and excited as ever. I'm just grateful we are all still in the game. :) That's got to mean something.
