Do you want to list the cadets actual names?

I realize that we have all used various anonymous names on this forum, which has been great. My question is: now that our DS's and DD's have actual appointments, do we want to post their actual names on the site that lists the class of 2016? I am just asking? Thanks for the input.
This forum has been so helpful to me over the past 6 months. I cannot say THANK YOU enough to everyone who has helped, supported and prayed for our family.

Been out of pocket for a while - glad to see the appointments are starting to roll in. Congrats to all future cadets and parents.

Personally it is not that big a deal to have names on here so long as there is not any bragging or touting lofty goals - like the mars girl or mars boy scenario. You have been selected because you are the best of the best but the remember the road ahead will challange you and be tough. It is ok to internalize your goals but don't post that you want to be the class leader or the first astronaut to mars. Current cadets and cadre read these boards and you don't want to stand out at BCT. You are going to be part of a team and pardon the cliche there is no "I"

I saw on another post about Facebooking each other and that is a good idea especially since there is no orientation this year but keep the above thoughts in mind when you post. There are also parent clubs available in each region so seek them out to meet other cadets and parents. There is a wealth of information there.

Again congrats to the the class of 2016 appointees and best of luck to those still awaiting word.

Just wondering, how did she go about this? I am also getting very anxious (as well as doubtful) and would like to directly call my MOCs. How did she ask?

I suggested to DD not to call MOC thinking it better to wait and hope versus possibly hearing the bad news today. However, DD insisted on calling, so she phoned the local district office that handled her nomination application. DD simply asked, and that's when a staff member read her the email and congratulated her. I don't know if anyone from the office intended to call her.

Thanks to your post I went ahead and called our MOC. I couldn't believe I was doing this, because she could've said DS wasn't on the list, BUT HE IS!!!

Thanks to your post I went ahead and called our MOC. I couldn't believe I was doing this, because she could've said DS wasn't on the list, BUT HE IS!!!

DS HAS AN APPOINTMENT TO USAFA CLASS OF 2016!!! Praise the Lord and pass the ammo! I am so proud of my DS! Wow . . . I am so exhausted from all this stalking too. Now the journey begins!

I don't know which nomination was used for his appointment yet, but the staff member said DSs letter (BFE) would be mailed on 28 March. I think I asked her 3 times, "Are you sure his name is on the list?"
