Falcon appointments will be announced around April 25th... other than those, maybe the actual Prep school kids and a few who get appointments because they are waitlisted and other reject their appointments. At least, that's what I would think. So not too many since I guess technically the Falcon appointments aren't really "up for grabs", they are all but decided. But who knows!
 
My DS is still waiting. No WTE or QNV yet. He accepted an AFROTC type 7 to SDSU. Plan B is in effect but how long do we wait? College fees are due May 1st.....Stalking is exhausting....N87

Yeah.... it's killin' my wife and I much more than our son. Kids seem to handle stressful moments much better these days than we did when we were young Son also signing up with plan B for UCSD. Who is your MOC? Maybe it's just us California folks on hold....

Definitely pay them, you don't want to lose your spot in housing or registration for classes. If you happened to receive a BFE, your college will most likely refund you. Best Advice, start getting excited about your plan B and move on from plan A. Who know you might receive an appointment, but its better to start thinking about the coming year than worrying about what might be. And you should know well before May 1st, so you could probably hold out for a couple more weeks if you really did not want to pay.

Looks like something happened last night on-line

My guess is that if you got it that your status should have changed
 
My DS received a MOC call last week but still no BFE. His portal still has a general statement about decrease in appointments. We are positive it was a legit call directly from his MOC when he was at the Capital in DC. Are we safe to trust he would be notified to call us and still we have no BFE? If so, it is PA-18.

Your DS could contact his Admissions Counselor for clarification. It seems that his portal would have changed by now.

Here was our timeline for DS;
21 Mar MOCs were notified via email (2 Sens, 1 Rep)
22 Mar Our Rep called to congratulate DS
28 Mar DS's page was updated to reflect Appointment Offered
29 Mar USAFA called to congratulate DS
31 Mar Received BFE in mail

We are in AL as a reference point for mail delivery.
 
my timeline was similar.
22 March got call
29 Portal Update
1 Apr BFE arrived.
2 Apr portal update for accepted appointment (i accepted the 29th)
I was worried to for a while but the portal will update and the BFE will come.
 
Thanks. He actually still had a DQ on the portal until the day prior to the call. We were waiting for a waiver from DODMERB. When the fully qualified statement appeared, the call came soon after. Now there's a red statement about a decrease in appointments. I worry best in the middle of the night, and last night I did a "OMG what if they made a mistake" and am now on watch for the mailman. How big is the BFE anyway? An overstuffed normal letter or "really big one"? We live in PA, and it will probably take a little longer to get to us. If my DS knew I was posting this he would probably want to knock me out, but he has to live with my being IN CHARGE for a couple more months:)
