However, it's humorous elcid1995 doesn't know VMI is categorized with the service academies in nearly all college rankings in the U.S. Again, students deserve to know that while the citadel is ranked amongst "masters colleges in the southern region," VMI is ranked "nationally" with West Point, Annapolis, Air Force and other liberal arts colleges and universities. So to be clear, it's not me making the comparisons, it's US News, Forbes, etc.! Maybe the addition of your online degrees will boost citadel rankings, who knows...
Listen, let's stop bickering about this. These are all fine schools and there are many things that potential cadets should know before they commit to a SMC. I believe the citadel has much more in common with great schools such as A&M, VT, norwich, and NG rather than VMI. These differences may be what draws someone to one school vice another...
On an end note, over the years I have found there is one commonality between VMI cadets and citadel cadets... they typically both applied to VMI.
