Pro's / Con's

They are AIR FORCE ACADEMY candidates/appointees; I'm pretty sure they understood it was 7 chews. The Air Force is pretty good at attracting cadets and candidates with a high level of understanding. :thumb:

Christcorp - I don't know what your problem is with me or why you have to continually be rude to me.
I am quite positive that AFA candidate/appointees are quite capable of following the thread -
I was responding to this post:
Pizza on wed...burger on Thursday and Tacos on Friday...all that can be devoured in less than 7 bites:shake:

Now run along and go find another post of mine you can criticize. :thumb:

I know which post you were referring to. If you can't take a little humor, sorry. Don't know what to say. I was not intentionally being rude to you. Just like I know you weren't criticizing Pima for saying "Bites" instead of "Chews". Relax. Life is too short. One day we're going to wake up and be dead.

P.S. I'm sure I even THANKED you in another thread for correcting a mistake I made. There's nothing personal here. Enjoy the sunshine. :beer1:

JAM, thanks for clearing it up. I actually had this Charles Dickensonian vision of a bunch of doolies hunched at a long plain table anxiously awaiting their tiny portions of 7 meager bites.

Being we're talking about food; another PRO if any of you appointees are going to be involved with IC (inter-collegiate) sports; is that there's usually lots of supplemental food available to you in the locker room area. Bread, sandwich meats, P&J, Gatorade, etc... Yours for the taking. Especially if the coaches want you to gain a few pounds. Between Mitch's (Chow hall) and such, you'll never go hungry. You might get bored with the food and CHOOSE to go hungry at times. :stretcher:

What if you aren't an IC athlete? Can you only eat at the breakfast, lunch and dinner? Can cadets keep snacks in there rooms?

Oh and I have yet to see these snacks that CC speaks of lol

I'm always hungry, life as a doolie

CadCandMateus; are you an IC? I know that many of the athletes have food available. Some people practice late and miss dinner. Some just want more. Not sure about the rest of the students.

OH; and definitely make sure your parents love you lots. My son has my wife wrapped around his finger. She's always sending care packages. He just got his "Valentine" care package. Gotta love your mom.:popcorn1:

I have spent the cost of an instate university's tuition sending my cadets food of all varieties, so YES you can have snacks in your room (after Acceptance day? Something like that).

Since fencing practice ends just before Mitch's closes, my cadets generally eat dinner in their rooms. One cadet on a particularly STARVING night brought back 7 of those styrofoam containers of food and devoured it all in less than half an hour. His roommates were simply amazed.

This is the main reason why New Cadets go hungry - not because there is not enough food

Not when I visited. We were so hungry, we ate it all haha. But thats probably because they had to give me some and there were all guys at my table. Also there was a water polo player sitting next to me he ate so much, he was big though. :thumb:

We usually have plenty of food. It's rare that we don't have enough at meals. I keep plenty of snacks in my room, so I'm never dying for food! Except maybe in class.

This whole talk about food is making me want to go more. Usually college students are always hungry cause they rarely have any extra money lol

so ...you cant bring anything in class (water?)
and when you mean "snacks in room" does that mean you can have candy in your room or just healthy snacks?

My son has all sorts of stuff in the room. But forget about cooking or refrigerated. So, make sure it's something that doesn't go bad. mike....

My college fund better be going to care packages

They didn't plan on me going to a SA.

The naivety of youth.

:lolatyou:

Caribbean cruises and a new Jaguar are on the horizon for your parents, and your room will be painted and transformed into the Home Theater within 2 months of your departure.

:biglaugh:

They have told me numerous times that that is how it's gonna be
