Finally heard from my son, and here's what our former Rats had to do during yesterday's Breakout:
"We woke up at 0500 to the sound of M14s, Barrett M82s, muskets, and Little John II...and it just went downhill from there. We had two sweat parties back-to-back, went to breakfast, had sandbag workouts, then we went to New Market, marched to the battlefield, had a whole lot of [things] to do there...then came back, had a sweat party on every stoop, and then the last thing we had to do was haul howitzers from behind Crozet Hall to in front of Moody Hall."
Thanks, Bruno, for the good advice on not slacking off. When all the excitement of no longer being a Rat dies down, I plan to whisper your words in my son's ear.
