These boards convene three separate times to review applications and award scholarships. It’s essentially the admissions committee. Basically, three separate chances to earn an award, and the earlier you get an app in, the more eyes you get.I am working on my Army ROTC Scholarship Application and notice that there were different Selection Boards paired with different dates. What exactly are these Boards and what do the dates mean?
Just to clarify - You are only Boarded 1 time for AROTC. Your application packet is reviewed and scored on the 1st Board you are "board Ready" by- it is not reviewed again. You can submit additional information such as standardized test scores, fitness test scores - but these additional items only add "points".and the earlier you get an app in, the more eyes you get.
Hello, my very athletic and fit son has remarkably bad fitness test scores. Can he take gain and submit better results? I thought the test was a one shot deal. He had his PMS interview today and his application is now complete, but not yet boarded. Thanks!Just to clarify - You are only Boarded 1 time for AROTC. Yes - It is my understanding that he can submit his new score. He will not get the full credit for the score, but it should give him some more points. @Montana State Army ROTC has a lot of good posts about this. Good luck to your DS.Hello, my very athletic and fit son has remarkably bad fitness test scores. Can he take gain and submit better results? I thought the test was a one shot deal. Thanks so much! Overall, according to a chart posted earlier today, he has 120 points. Maxed out on pushups but only 37 curl ups and 7:21 mile..... I love this board and the prompt kind responses.Yes - It is my understanding that he can submit his new score. No problem. I'm not sure how it works regarding points - on a re-submit, I don't think you get full credit for the new score. I could be wrong. Either way, good on him for improving the score.
