Who is still waiting?

TWE for son is sitting downstairs waiting for him to come home.

We'll give him some time to regroup, then will likely take a year to travel, improve foreign language skills, and decide which of civilian colleges to accept (they allow deferred admissions) -- all good options. But he could surprise me and reapply.

I greatly appreciate the support and information provided here; the best of luck to all of you and yours.

As Philparker said, the letter stating the candidate is on "wait list" came in a TWE. There was another sheet FAQ's enclosed.
The was another thread "The Wait List" I think or just wait list started acouple of days ago -also at topic of this catagory are some sticky's - the one that answers general questions and misc address the "Wait List"

recieved a TWE in the mail today from the Department of the Navy. For those few seconds, my heart stopped. Until I took a closer look at the address, I realized that it wasn't from USNA but from NROTC.

Long Story short: rejected for NROTC scholarship...still waiting for news from USNA!
 
Received my TWE in southern California today. I was dated the 2nd but just got it today even though I called admissions Monday and they said no decision has been made. I thought that was strange.... I also on the letter it is dated with 2009, anyone notice that???...

nothing from the navy here as of yet. this post will make a twe arrive tomorrow i am sure. but what the heck- my son is happy.

I didn't notice that, but you're right! I just picked up my son's letter and it's dated April 2, 2009.
 
New to the forum-still waiting

I noticed a lot of postings had 3Q'd in them, what does that mean? My son is still waiting, two nominations from Idaho. He wants to be a Marine Officer and only applied for the Naval Academy. We are still crossing our fingers!

3Q'd = triple qualified (qualified medically, scholastically, and physically)
 
TWE arrived today

TWE arrived today. DS had about decided this was going to be the decision that was coming, but ole dad held out until the end. Well on to Ole Miss and NROTC. Too early to tell about reapplying, but at least the mailbox won't look like something with a big mouth full of teeth. Good luck to all those going and to those on the wait list.

Thanks for the update, still nothing here yet...good luck to your son, its NROTC at UT-Austin for mine unless his BFE is lost in the mail :smile:

Don't hear anything by Monday, guess I'll call admissions.
 
Yes I too also recieved the dreaded TWE today.
Now to choose
1)AFROTC Scholarship
2)NROTC Scholarhip

Same here

TWE arrived today, it's on to the Marine Corp. I am proud of my son and he will do well!
 
Nothing here yet either. April 15th seem so far away.

Thank you to all those who continue to offer encouragement even though your sons/daughters have received the TWE.

TWE received for DD. We were surprised she was not disappointed. We believe the lack of disappointment showed she really wanted to attend plan B school. She is very excited for plan B NROTC as are we. She is busy in soccer and has already spoke to plan B school about trying out for soccer. Good luck and a big congrats to all of our kids....Appointments and TWE's. All are truly amazing with excellent futures. And thank you to all posters on this forum for the valuable insight, guidance and support.

DS goes on to Plan B - MO NROTC Scholarship to UT-Austin...Hook'Em Horns!!
