Interesting. My DS has a 3.85 uw gpa and got a 23 ACT (1140 SAT) and just received a 3-Year. His extracurriculars and athletics also great. VP of his class, multiple club president, co-captain soccer team, etc. So, maybe not that far from the cutoff between 3-Year and 4-Year line on the OML.
Also, for all those who fret about ACT/SAT scores, I wanted to wait until board results were in before saying this, but please hear me: STANDARDIZED TEST SCORES ARE NOT EVERYTHING. I knew my DS's ACT score was mediocre, but I also knew the rest of his application was really strong. He had a great interview and got great feedback on that. I just want to encourage everyone who may not have received an offer yet that you should not lose hope. None of you are defined by your test score. It's just part of the process, and if you've proven yourself inside and outside the classroom for four years, and you really demonstrate that through your application and interview, you had a good chance of earning a scholarship.
I am rooting for all of you still playing the "waiting game." It's hard, but it honestly does not matter whether you get a scholarship in October, January or March. They all count the same!
