did she give any indication when they would be looking at CO again? I wondered if they were looking at Region 4 (western states) last week, but the only updates seemed to be for CA/WA/OR, which are under a different admissions counselor than CO (CO is lumped in w/Alaska, HI, WY, etc)- and it seems there has been very little movement from the states in the part of the "western" region...
wait really? They haven’t really looked at states like CO? How did you find that out? Because yes, I agree that CO has seen very little progress

I don't have any confirmation of that. From all our trolling, I only know of Girlinthefireplace who got an early offer (presidential nom) but turned it down for USAFA, and then the Valor track guy (and sister?) that came up in a previous conversation here. Not sure which MOC district the Valor sibs are from, and where their noms came from. We've been sleuthing hard but haven't heard anything related to anyone in our district, or really anywhere in CO for that matter.

Last week, there was movement for some Western states (same Region as CO, #4)- there were some appointments and turndowns that were posted here and in a parent FB group (could have been some of the same people) but they were all in CA/WA/OR. And then there was an appointment posted for TX (which I think is Region 3). If you look on the USNA admissions page, Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Guam, Hawaii, Northern Mariana Islands, Wyoming, Utah, American Samoa all fall under the same admissions rep (Mari Eaves?)- so it made us wonder if there are sub-groups within the larger regions and maybe they did the "big states" in Region 4 (CA/WA/OR) and then went to another "big state" (TX). It seems that the other states that fall under the same admissions rep as CO have also had very little movement based on what has been posted to the USNA appt thread here.

Its all tea leaves at this point. It just seems weird that there has been very little info about CO, at least for USNA.

Thank you for explaining. I definitely agree with there seeming to be little to no movement in the terms of USNA appointments here in CO. I contacted my MOC when she called me to let me know about my USAFA appointment, and she told me that no one from my district has heard from USNA. I also have some friends in NE that also haven’t heard anything yet. It’s slightly unnerving that we haven’t heard anything yet, but I guess there’s a big possibility that USNA hasn’t even really gone through all MOC slates here in CO

rejected - John Hopkins 😓😓

Sorta bummed but not really, it was a school to see where I’d be in terms of ivy day and other decisions. Doesn’t seem good, but it’s ok. Theres no time to worry about what you can’t do, only time to worry about what you can do.
Ugh I am so sorry!! This is certainly their loss! I am feeling super hopeful for you for USNA -- maybe this week!! :)

Think I’ll jump in and try to offer some encouragement.

One of my kids applied to SA’s a few years ago and received an appointment some time into April. Hang in there!

As for some of my kids’ college admission results, one got Plan A college, one got Plan B college, and one got Plan E college.
Currently they are all extremely happy with where they are. Now that we are farther down the road and can see the bigger picture, we realized that they all ended up at just the perfect places, even especially the kid who ended up going with Plan E. At the time, we had thought Plans A, B, C, and D were better for that kid, but now that we know more, we realize Plan E is a far superior situation. We are thanking God for Plan E and that the others didn’t work out as we had initially hoped, even though we were quite heartbroken at the time when the rejections came through.

So just saying…
Hang in there, and you never know, but maybe Plan B or E or G is the real Plan A for you!

they did not say anything about that, but hopefully soon! I'm hopeful to pull for CO-4

Good morning day 52, it is Thursday and hopefully we get some news in the next few days that makes the wait seem like no sweat 🤩

Hello! Good morning to all beautiful folks of this forum! Wow its Day 52! SA Portals are still frozen for my DS. Seems there have been quite a lot of appointments this week. Congratulations to all newly appointed candidates and their proud parents! For those of us who are still hoping, praying and waiting, day by day it gets shorter and shorter so the hard wait will soon be over. DS is so happy with his Plan B fully in place. Cheers to another day of waiting. 🥂 🍾

How long is the wait to get the appointment letter from academies, after getting all green check marks and candidate has an LOA?

Each one is different. USMMA was about 4 days from all things checked w/ an LOA till a FedEx with appointment arrived. No emails or portal updates saying anything.
