Good morning day 51, getting closer to hearing good news for everyone!!! I have taken everyone's advice and really talked to my DS about his plan B (Embry-Riddle NROTC scholarship) and preparing for the idea if he were not to get it. He absolutely does not want to talk about it and I told him that sometimes there is a silver lining to not getting in straight out of high school, as many of you have posted: (that extra year of maturity, living independently, learning to be efficient with your time, etc.) I dread the day that he may hear he does not get in, but I have come to terms with it. Your stories have helped me be able to offer him the support he would need and I want to thank you for that. This forum is so helpful because we are in it together and as parents all we ever want to do is be there for our kids. It is so nice to see so many like minded individuals with great advice come together and help each other through this arduous process. I enjoy checking in with everyone (many times a day actually) in hopes of hearing good news. So, let the appointments start rolling in this week!!!!
