Right? I am not concerned about my DD’s portal today. She already accepted USMMA. So whenever her portal updates at least she gets closure. But I’m rooting for so many people and am just antsy to see them receive their answers and appointments!

I know it is the 15th, and everyone is on edge, to say the least. My suggestion would be to turn off your phone, pay attention in class, go for a run, head to the gym, go to yoga, put your head down at work today.

I know it's easier said then done, but still would advise my kid the same.

Refreshing the portal and obsessing today won't change the outcome. Admissions is busy, aware that you are all waiting and on edge an they are working at full steam ahead to do notifications asap.

He literally does not have stuff to tell you. I don't handhold my BGO kids at this stage - unless they ask me a question.
I generally have no knowledge about when a record is reviewed and don't even see it if admissions asks you for 7th semester grades
or other documentation.

I get that you don't have any info to give. But do you think that complete radio silence from a BGO is a best practice? I have seen lots of complaints about BGO's and frankly while some don't have any merit, many of them are pretty valid. Especially with what Annapolis is telling us to expect from the process.

My DS's BGO said he was available for any questions anytime, but I am sure my DS has not reached out to him. He was clear he would be available for questions.

Does your child have questions asked of their BGO that have not been answered? Is that what you mean by radio silence?

I don’t have ongoing convos after the interview. Probably bc I’ve covered expectations already adequately in the interview process. Maybe my candidates feel well informed. Of course I would answer inquiries, but just haven’t had them.
