Guess the alphabet theory is blow outta the water now

Looks like everyone has been busy today. There may or may not be a pattern with the alphabet. In the long run, it really won't matter. The main fact is knowing when the offers are completed and no new status updates are forthcoming. We are blessed with 2 ROOs who are honest and trustworthy who will give us that heads up.
It has been so difficult to leave this up to fate, but ultimately our DS/DDs will get where they are supposed to be, how they are supposed to get there. Fate, faith or whatever you need to call it is in control here to a large extent. My DS is going to college regardless and somehow after seeing just this tip of the iceburg of insanity that the military life is, he still wants to be an officer. Go figure.
I hope tomorrow is peaceful for all of us and we wake Monday to some great news for many of our kids.
Take care.

Maybe, but his offer is for a 4 year - those may have posted first, then the 3 years(most offers are 3 this board). It won't matter tomorrow if its alphabetical or not. The distraction is working.
Guessing your DD/DS is waiting for OSU?
Yes DS has already been accepted and committed to OSU scholarship or not, but one sure would be nice
Everyone just please calm down. Who cares in what order they're notifying? It really doesn't matter. You WILL BE NOTIFIED. Promise.

I received a phone called about a hour ago from a ROO at one of my DS's choice schools. Yes, on a Sunday afternoon. I am so glad he called. Now I have all of the information to surprise DS with tomorrow when I pick him up from the cruise ship. ROO also said DS should receive the official letter by Wednesday. He has received offers from his top 3 schools.
4 year Auburn
4 year North Georgia
3 year The Citadel
DS has a big decision to make. This week is his spring break so I think DS, DH and myself will be making one more visit to the schools.

I find it interesting that The Citadel is 3 year. I take it to be because of the tuition cost being higher? or didn't he explain that?
I was really surprised but happy with the two 4 year scholarships. I thought most from this round would probably be 3 year. At least that gives us hope that there are still some more 4 year scholarships out there.
My finger and toes are still crossed for everyone and I prayed really hard in church this morning.

That is incredible news!!!!!
So here's what's been going thru my mind. Sorry in advance to add more stress to anyone, but inquiring minds want to know.
If a scholarship is offered what happens if:
1. It is to a school you weren't accepted to.
2. It is to a school you don't wish to attend.
3. It is to a school you have already declined.
In all these situations I assume you will start the transfer request. But how does it effect your transfer request (if at all) if it's a school you have already declined or one you decide to decline after you receive a scholarship?
My DS has an in-state school that has a good sized program but after multiple visits he really does not fit and doesn't want to attend (the school not the ROTC program, which he did like). He has already declined one OOS school. Do any of these actions effect the way your transfer request is treated?
We understand that ultimately we will have to pay for school, etc if the scholarship doesn't work out, but he wants to do ROTC and we would hate to lose the scholarship due to above reasons. Likewise we don't want to send him to school where he doesn't fit. We just want to know how transfers are looked at in these situations, or if all transfers are treated the same way.

Bamamom.. Quick question. Was this your DS's only board? Wondering if he was shut out on first two boards and then hit the jackpot...Would love to know the details... Congrats again!
