I always say for you not to go insane when it comes to the military you have to believe in fate. If that is the path you will go than that is the path and nothing will stop it from occurring...you can try, but you always land up back where you started.
Place it in the back of your mind, and enjoy these last 7 months together. What will be will be.
I know that is easier said than done, trust me I know. However, this will be just the 1st of many boards and with each board the severity of making it becomes more intense.
For example:
As an AFROTC cadet she will have to compete for an SFT slot as a sophomore. No slot, scholarship or non-scholarship is disenrollment out of AFROTC. Currently only about 55% go to SFT nationally. No points are awarded because the cadet os on an AFROTC scholarship.
As an AFROTC cadet in her fall sr yr at college she will go up for her career field (AFSC) board. That is for the rest of her life, or at least for the next few yrs.
Scholarship boards will feel like a party compared to the next two boards. Than of course a few yrs later it will be promotion boards, and your stomach will be in knots for months even if you get the def. promote, because now it is not about being promoted , but being selected to do in residence school.
It never ends until you leave the military. Sorry, but welcome to the club, you are not alone in your anxiety.
