You don't know me, but I was worried about you and I was stalking USMA threads. I am so happy for you. You have been such a serious and motivated candidate who have made great contribution to this SF. I knew you would receive an appointment. I am sure you will suceed at USMA.
God bless you and my DS (by the way he is going to USNA. Go Navy! Go Army!) and all those young men an women who applied to SAs.

In my day, (c/o 2001), 3rd class cadets didn't interact with the New Cadets. They are at Camp Buckner (and now doing summer Military Schools I have heard).
 
The Cadre for Beast will be Cows and Firsties.
I personally know a Firstie who will be Cadre 2nd detail. Want me to put in a good word for you? :shake:
 
My son (Class of 2015) wil be at Airborne School at Ft. Benning and in summer training at Camp Buckner during the time you are in Beast. However, you will see him after Beast if you go to Company I-3.

Airborne School, awesome! 82nd eh? I wish him good luck, hopefully I'll be doing the same thing in 2013 (I also wish to attend Airborne School, eventually)!
 
I have accepted my appointment to USMA on literally the last night (I think I was actually a few minutes past the deadline since I am Mountain Time Zone, but it was not a problem:rolleyes:) I was honestly leaning USAFA for the longest time and even told the USMA coach THAT night I was going to Air Force but I just took a leap of faith on this!

Global View;
Captain America and I will be jetlagged from Jakarta but see you at the track/cross country thing on 1 July. In going with the theme of the thread, Captain America's appointment was on 11 October and was presidential.

I havent heard anything yet either. In fact I havent even been told if im on the NWL. So is that a good thing because I also have not recived a QNS
 
Class of 2016 full?

Given that Admissions recently announced that few slots remained WRT their announced target of 1150 (1145 accepted appointments with 100 candidates yet to respond) as of April 20th, I would be shocked if new appointments were offered, even after May 1st. Unless all 100 offers were turned down, it would appear that the class is full! Unless the target (1150) is changed, there is no room. Clearly, a large number of qualified candidates had to be turned down, but the competition will start anew for 2017 shortly. 30-32% of successful candidates had one or more years of college prior to acceptance. Time to dust off plan B to reach personal goals.
