I don't know diva, his letter says he has to show up at 6:30 AM om I-Day !!!
Boy, that kinda sucks for the his two younger sisters, but it is easier to park for me .
So what to do after he gets dumped off in front of Alumni Hall? @ 6:31 am we could break out the lawn chairs and watch them pouring concrete at the new Cyber Security Parking Garage across the street? That's always fun (at least for me)
BUT WE ARE NOT COMPLAINING ! ...Just thought 8:00 am was 'time on target' for I-Day?
Oh yes, the line starts early for plebes-to-be.
Breakfast at Iron Rooster! You'll have time to stand in line. Do the first of many Mid Store shopping runs, because you can't have too many of those clear Mid Store shopping bags. Hit expo tent on Hospital Point between 10 and 2 to visit info tables and snag free stuff, including the annual USAA Proud Parent bag giveaway. Eat Alumni Association lunch (pay in advance) and hang out in big Shade Tent. Visit the Museum. Walk over to Drydock or out to DTA for lunch. Attend any briefings.
Search other I-Day threads for plenty of background.
People do bring lawn chairs and coolers and park themselves in the shade.
You could let the sisters sleep in, park at Stadium, ride shuttle with him to Alumni Hall, give him the last hug before the vacuum in front of Alumni Hall sucks him in, jump back in shuttle, retrieve sisters, get breakfast, head back to Yard.
