It depends when the November Admissions Committee concludes, but probably right before Thanksgiving.
My daughter received a phone call about an hour ago from coach that she has an appointment. She is over the moon. Lots of happy tears tonight. It is her number 1 choice and so she is grateful , humbled and thrilled.
Nothing in Bears Den yet. Where in bears den does it appear?

Congratulations! Awesome job! Was she a recruited athlete? People who have posted that they got phone calls in the past... were you all recruited athletes? Just wondering how non-recruits are notified.

She was in communication with the coach during summer - after she filled out an online questionnaire.
She attended an athlete overnight oct 7-9 and came home knowing this was hands down her first choice.
The coach called tonight and said she had recently been reviewed and that she was being offered an appointment. She finished her app and letters etc by mid September but she didn't complete pfe until her overnight- she took it at cga. We were out to dinner and she was wearing her cga sweatshirt and she said "I hope I hear from coast guard soon". And about 5 minutes later received call.

That's wonderful! Must be nice. Congratulations!!! I should dress my DD in her USCGA hoodie tonight and cross my fingers. Lol
Our DD received her good news as well yesterday- also a call from a coach, nothing in bears den yet- wasn't quite prepared for the emotions that hit me! She was incredibly excited as were her coaches, teachers, counselors and friends that helped her along the way. We are looking forward to our visit next month!

Did you daughter already go through the DODMERB process? And also, would you please let us know when you see something in Bear's Den? Thank you and congrats!
Thank you. No we have not gone through DodMERB yet- there was a mixup on getting her notification so we are scrambling. Both appointments this week, no obvious hurdles medically so hopeful she will clear quickly. Nothing in Bears den yet.
My DD is qualified on Dodmerb. She had appts back in August for her usma application and knew by end of August she was qualified and then in October she received a letter from dodmerb that cga had also requested info. But I don't know if it appears in her Bears Den. I will ask when she gets home.

Just got a call from my coach today! I'm excited to be a Bear!
Congrats!!
Exciting news for sure.
it will be in your bears den - you should also get an email ... if you are a recruited athlete - your coach may notify you a bit earlier when they get the heads up
