USCGA 2021 Appointments

We submitted early October but got the same email around the same time. Is it safe to assume we are "round 2"? Does it seem like they're done with round 1? Do you think we'll hear something before thanksgiving?
This is a lesson in patience. Last year it seemed the first round wrapped by end of the second week of November, then we heard nothing on the forum until the day after Thanksgiving. Since I went through this last year, all I can say is that it is not over until you hear something which could be as late as the 3rd week of December. My thought on the first round is that those are the simple choices for admissions.
If the application has not been rejected (TWE), that means it is still in the running for a possible appointment. However, understand that only around 2 out 7 (assuming 200 appointments out of 700) EA applicants (guessing on approximate numbers based on prior years) will get the good news with EA. For the rest, it may be a longer wait (waitlist) or onto Plan B (TWE).

Thank you. This helps. Waiting is hard. We got a letter from admissions on Saturday saying that the athletics director spoke with them about his interest in playing for them. It had a book and a magnet in it. Did anyone else get this? It seemed very general but wondering why they would send this now

Trying to consolidate the list, this is what I got so far:

Tag Name/Self, DD or DS/Date of Offer of Appointment

2. padre101/DS/Nov 6, 2016
3. iqmom/DD/Nov 6, 2016

Does anyone know when they let you know if you don't get an appointment?
The ones that are not close to being a fit for CGA I believe are told shortly after they are reviewed.
For the rest unfortunately it is most likely just after mid December. I base that on last year's post by Objee that over half the EA announcements were still pending in December and what my own DS went through.
Also note: I have read between 10-30% of applicants use the forum so that means a lot of announcements of appointments or TWE do not make the forum.

The final Early Action (EA) reviews are being completed this week and the majority of the remaining decision letters, which is actually over half of EA, will be published on Friday. A few final letters will be published on Monday/Tuesday, but as outlined in the Applicant Handbook all EA applicants will be notified by 12/24.

Did everyone who received an appointment already complete the DoD medical exam? I completed mine last week and am waiting for to hear the status.

Sorry to ask but is it early action or early decision? Big difference! Us w college kids don't get into that pull - I agree never lose hope ! No news is good news! Keep strong!
