I think there is a recognition by the admissions board that, though excellence is to be expected of anyone who wishes to attend USMA, perfection is unattainable--we are only human. A C+ isn't the end of the world in an honors level class, especially with a perfect record prior to it. They look at the whole person, not one isolated incident of inadequacy. A similar thing happened to me and I am unconcerned and even optimistic about my chances of admission. See your kid at R Day.
