Hello everyone,
I am currently a high school junior and my big dream is to attend the USNA. I'm going to begin my application soon and I'm curious to see if you guys have any tips for me. My situation differs from the usual USNA applicant by the fact that I am pursuing my HS career in Portugal. However I am still eligible for all my MOC noms and plan to apply to all of them.
Here is a short list of my qualities as an applicant:
SAT score: 1460 in 1600
School: 19.7 unweighted average in a possible 20, no AP or Honor classes available
Courses in Math, Physics and Chemistry, Descriptive Geometry, Portuguese, English, etc..
8th place in Portuguese National Cadet Ranking in fencing (foil)
Compete internationally
ECA: church group, volunteering, and helping as assistant coach at my fencing club with the younger children. During the summer I'm going to work as a counsler (CIT) at a camp (4 weeks)
Attending NASS 2018 session 1
I would be grateful for any tips and any opinions on how I'm doing so far. Thank you!
