total appointments to USCGA are about 310. About 220 of them are accepted. Statistics from EA and RA are posted each year by @ObjeeSanmam is right. About 50% of all Appointments come from EAs. And about 300 in total receive Appointments. Those not making EAs may not make regular round. So some suggested don’t apply EA unless one is absolutely confident can be competitive in the EA pool.
For the class of 2022 I recall (from admissions) EA Appointed candidate class average stats were:
ACT ENG 31, MATH 32
SAT (estimated recall) ENG 665, MATH 700+
GPA 3.8
Class Rank Top 10% (estimated recall)
PFE 241
AIM ALUMNI 50%
Varsity ~100% (guesstimate)
CPT/Leadership ~100% (guesstimate)
Scouting 50%+ (guesstimate)
This does not include CGAS appointments, which is where most of the rest of the incoming class comes from (60ish CGAS plus 10ish international students)
Here's a recent thread compiling EA statistics by class as provided by @Objee :
Ode to Objee - Early Action statistics Classes of 2018-2022
Thought everyone would like to see this! It is a direct cut and paste from past Objee posts on EA statistics. I do not have one for last year (Class of 2023) and recall it was the shut down year so EA was delayed until Jan 2019. If anyone finds it, post here...
