USNA 2025 Waiting and....Waiting

This isn't making any sense. If they plan to reject everyone else still waiting because we are under waiver review, why not just send the TWE so we can move on. That is quite discouraging, especially when we've waited so long and there's basically three days left😭

I honestly would stay positive...id assume they are making slate final decisions cuz there is no way they plan to reject everyone left under review

I just talked to my admissions counselor. He said that they’re doing no LOA or conditional apts anymore. So I asked if that meant that all people under waiver review will get TWE’d and he responded with that nobody is being considered for waiver? In DOD it still says that I am under waiver review and nothing in my portal. What should I make of this? It’s not a no until it’s a no! Keep faith!
Maybe Mr. Mullen has some input on this one!!! (I don't know if you can tag people in this forum. lol)

I would not despair just yet. I would guess they are not starting any NEW waivers. For example.. if you are under dodmerb review and it turns out you will need a waiver, you probably will miss this cycle. But if you are currently under waiver review and it gets resolved by friday to a waiver granted you are golden. Otherwise, I agree with you, it does't make any sense to hold on to a bunch of TWEs for no reason. Just a hunch. I did read the above post from commited1204 that said "nobody is being considered for waiver". I am hoping that is a misunderstanding and that it should read, "USNA will not be initiating any more waiver reviews".

I would be happy to just get “Congratulations your application is under review” all we have is application is 100% complete. We know that. We knew that back in December although it took forever for the portal to update DS has contacted admissions officer several times but he constantly confuses him with other applicants and had little or no info. Frustrating if this is all just to be lumped into the last batch of TWE’s. Just wondering if his application has even been reviewed yet..,

Not everyone still waiting is under waiver review. DS has been qualified in every area (and no waiver ever needed), and his portal still says, “Congratulations! Your application is under review.” Still waiting for good news!🙏🏻🇺🇸
Thats what I get for speculating.. it really is a bit of a mystery at this point. It is possible that there is what you call a "rack and stack". Which means there are X slots left and Y candidates and they are all rank ordered. If candidates who are ranked higher are disqualified then they come off the list and then everyone else moves up. You keep doing this until X slots are filled. Full disclosure, I have never been on a ROTC or Academy board. I just know this is what we did for folks in my unit who were competing for pilot slots.

Ugh-
Ok - my son, does not need a waiver, his application is 100% complete, and it says under review. He had a Presidential nomination, but no SAT scores due to having registered for 10 tests, all were cancelled. He was medically qualified for the 4 year Marine option ROTC scholarship. (No issues

So, if he is not a yes, why wouldn’t they tell him....

Ohhh, maybe. Let's hope! If there's one thing i've learned throughout this process, it's that you even get conflicting information in the admissions chats between the admissions people running the chats! Been told one thing one day, and when someone else askes the same question another day there's a different response. STRESS! Lol. Fingers crossed for us all :)

If you go into the admissions chat and provide the candidate # they can tell you if the application has been reviewed by the board. Mine's been reviewed. I still got nothin'......

We did just that on Friday. He was told that the application is complete and he would have an answer by 30 April. It felt like all the did was look him up on the portal and tell him what we already know.

From whom? Please elaborate
I spoke with the USNA admissions counselor for my region asking for insight as to when admissions decisions would be made available. I asked him just so I could adequately prepare my plan B as May 1 approaches.

Are you waiting on a Waiver, and you have a Conditional Offer/LOA, or are you waiting on your 'first decision' to be communicated?
