AFROTC Board Scholarship Results

Here is what the portal says when they hear about a scholarship:

Welcome _____, your scholarship application status is "Scholarship Offered".

Congratulations! You were awarded a scholarship. For information on the particular scholarship, use the "Accept/Decline Scholarship" tile on the home page. You will also be receiving an email with further information. If you have questions please contact us.

Then you click on the home page and it says:

My son got the same, congrats! Can I ask if you saw anywhere that states when a decision has to be made? Thank you

It is actually not set up that way. You agree to the offer and then you select your school. It is not super clear so an email has been sent for clarification.

You go to the home screen and click on the squarte that says "accept" or "decline". Then, there's a place in there to find specific information.

Ok I haven’t looked at my sons yet. I just wonder if it said they have to make a decision by 5/1 (for example). Thanks

That's awesome, so now your son has both an Air Force and a Space Force one 👏 congratulations to him and to you for supporting him on his journey.
 
I just got an email from the selection board after seeing that my application had been “Reboarded”. The email said my application had not been considered for a Scholarship at that time, but would be reevaluated later near March 14th. Is anyone experiencing the same thing?

If so, do you think this will effect my chances?

I have a 4.3 GPA, 31 ACT, Academic Honors, and Varsity athletic recognition.
 
Similar, but funny...the email left off the date
"The next selection board will convene on or after . "

My DS had everything completed in October 2021 for all scholarships and service academies but for some reason his application wasn't marked completed on AFROTC end in the portal. It took a couple of emails in late January pleading with them to complete his file as they were trying to say it was past the deadline. He finally got his interview in February done with AFROTC and now shows eligible in his portal. My son missed the first couple of boards but am thankful there is one left. Below is the message from his portal showing one more board to go. So far he has received a 3 year Army ROTC scholarship to USC so I am wondering if he will be competitive for a 3 or 4 year from Air Force?

your scholarship application status is "Eligible".Your AFROTC Scholarship interview has been received and processed. Your application will meet the next available selection board, scheduled March 14. Results will be released on or about March 29. You can check back here to view the results. We will also mail you a notification letter explaining whether or not you've been offered a scholarship.

I don’t think you will know until they send out the results from AFROTC later this month. For the army one does he know if you got into USC yet? I know they only let a small amount of applicants in early so far & let them know. I heard they have great ROTC there.

He has not received an answer back from USC but I believe April 1st is when they will let him know. In the meantime he accepted the scholarship at ASU and can always ask for a change in schools I believe if he is accepted to USC.
 
Follow-up post on the above....On the Oct board, my DS was "reboarded"...that was listed on the portal and an email was sent. The portal now shows the same "reboarded" status, but no email. For those getting a second "reboard", did everyone get an email too?

Got an update from Holm Center...looks like there was a glitch with my DS portal. Will meet next board.
