AFROTC Board Scholarship Results

Feeling really lucky. Received an offer in the portal, but I don't know the scholarship type (WINGS hasn't updated with these details yet).
 
My dd said she was reboarded also. Hopefully the third time will be the charm!!
 
Out of curiosity, did anybody who applied for the Space Force option get picked up for Space Force?

I am not sure if they came out yet, my son was asked to do the additional essays for it and we haven’t heard anything back, but maybe he just didn’t get one.

I don’t want to make anyone more nervous, I think the interview makes a big impact. He is blessed with a strong academic mind, especially in math and goes to a large, competitive public high school. His gpa is 4.6/4.7 weighted, 6 AP classes, several honors, he took the SAT once, got 1470 (800 in math). He took AP Calc BC in 11th, stats this year. He is captain of his club soccer team, varsity track at school, and works at a dentist office as a back room assistant. I can’t remember exactly what he got on the fitness test, I would say average.
 
Congratulations to your DS. That's awesome. You probably know that the Type 7 is accepted as a full scholarship to about 8 or 9 top schools such as MIT, Princeton and Notre Dame for example.
Someone posted the complete list a while back.

Mine also says reboarded but it looks the same as before results may have come out. I am on east coast so not sure if they are being released rolling or if I was reboarded for the second time.

Interesting- we are also on the East coast. She didn’t let me look at it 🙄.
I have made a personal vow not to ask until the 3rd board results are to be released.

Just got Reboarded today, I'm really surprised, since I received a 4-Year Navy/Marine ROTC scholarship about 4 weeks after I submitted my application, go figure??
 
My DS received the 4 year to his top school of choice! So excited!! Now to decline the Army one and click ACCEPT on this one! Not going to lie.. I cried when I saw it!

Here is what the portal says when they hear about a scholarship:

Welcome _____, your scholarship application status is "Scholarship Offered".

Congratulations! You were awarded a scholarship. For information on the particular scholarship, use the "Accept/Decline Scholarship" tile on the home page. You will also be receiving an email with further information. If you have questions please contact us.

Then you click on the home page and it says:

I hope this helps ease someone else's mind. This has been an exhausting experience for us at our house so I fully understand how hard the waiting is.

There was nothing about Space Force on my DS's scholarship award page. Wondering if that comes later?

Are AFROTC scholarships awarded to specific colleges like AROTC? Congrats to your DS!

No you choose your college. But not sure about the new Space Force ones because there are specific colleges that are listed for that.
