    Hawaii Midshipman - My son from Mililani, Hawaii is in the "hold" category. Hopefully he will receive an appointment. Born & raised in central Oahu, he is very nervous about heading east for school. Especially the USMMA. Would like him to connect with other Midshipman from Hawaii when he is appointed.

    @SupplyMustang yes, I can put you in contact with a current midshipman and family from Oahu, but, as you do not have enough posts of SAF, it won't let me private message you. The best way to do this is to have you go to FB and search for Arizona USMMA Parents' Association. Join our group and I'll put you in contact with the family.

    @SupplyMustang , Their son is back on campus after his first part of his Sea Year and third trimester will begin in a couple of weeks. I'm sure the mom will chat with you and the son can speak to your Plebe Candidate about his experience going from Oahu born and raised to USMMA. Aloha!

    @Banzaipipeline, same information for you if you or your DS or DD wants more information about USMMA from a Hawaiian perspective. Our son sure enjoyed his three months on the 'Pineapple Run' on the Daniel K Inouye container ship, going from Oahu to Oakland and Long Beach and back again. :)
