Our DS is class of 26 and went in with a 4.0 as a MGMT major. He excelled in his math related classes and was encouraged to switch to ORDA. It is a much tougher major but he’s thoroughly enjoying it.
My DS has received a conditional appointment to the Coast Guard Academy, and his medical is the last thing prohibiting him from moving forward.
He fell down a slope in 2007 (He was 3 at the time) and fractured his femur, and since then one of the hospitals he was treated at has shut down...
Sounds like they’re very similar. I’d bet needs at the position they play dictate how a coach ranks his recruits. My DS did have higher test scores and is valedictorian as well. That could’ve played into things also.
Hopefully you’ll hear soon! Mine has had multiple calls with the coach, visited the Academy (inc. attending a practice, a scrimmage against another school and hung out with team). He was told to apply EA as well and the coach kept him up to date on the application status.
