As an update @NavyHopefulMom2027, admissions clarified that the nomination in my portal was from my senior senator, which is the one who notified me by letter. So, "senator 2" did not mean my junior senator nominated me. The 1 and 2 must be arbitrary.

I think I will reach out to admissions for an answer. I'm a bit confused myself since the 1 and 2 would make sense for a sr/jr designation, but I only received a letter nomination for USNA from my sr senator despite "senator 2" being in the portal... I will follow up if I get a clarification...
